NC State Auditor Beth Wood Annual Birthday Bash and Reverse Car Raffle

A couple of months ago, I went to lunch with Beth Wood, our NC State Auditor, to discuss her annual birthday bash fundraiser and reverse car raffle. When I heard that she was giving away a 2019 Chevy Trax and that she’s already paid the taxes and tags, I couldn’t believe it. That car is worth $22,790 and the taxes and tags have already been paid. All the winner has to do is put insurance on the car and it is theirs. Beth even told me she would pay the fee at the DMV to transfer it to the winners name. I got so excited that I bought 5 tickets myself (that’s the limit for how many each individual can purchase to keep it fair).

The tickets are only $100 each and she is only selling 550, so told her I thought I could sell at least 150 for her. Then life happened. My father got sick then passed away. We are 8 days away from the event and I still have 140 tickets to sell so I am reaching out to you today to see if you would consider purchasing from 1 to 5 tickets for this event. I would consider it a personal favor.

Each ticket purchase not only is an entry into the reverse car drawing, it also gets you entrance into Beth’s Annual Birthday Bash being held on May 31st from 6 pm to 9 pm at the North Raleigh Hilton. The first ticket drawn will get their $100 back, as well as the 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th and 500th ticket drawn. The final ticket will win the 2019 Chevy Trax. I know people that don’t even need a new car but bought a ticket with the intention to sell the car and pocket the cash if they win. Again, only 550 tickets are being sold so your chances of winning are much better than most reverse car raffles.
