The All American BBQ marks the launch of Community of Hope’s 2017 Fall Fundraising Campaign. This vibrant, Garner-based ministry operates a free afterschool enrichment program for at-risk elementary aged children who are below grade level in reading and math, a gigantic food pantry (171,000 meals distributed in Garner last year), a crisis/financial assistance program, a summer camp, track out program and a program called Carpenter's Hands which aids the elderly, widowed and physically challenged with home maintenance and yard repairs. In addition, later this fall Community of Hope will offer its fourth session of "Jobs for Life" a 16-week job-skills readiness program aimed at providing the fundamental skills necessary for the unemployed and underemployed to rejoin today's work force. Our Garden of Hope produced over 2000 pounds of fresh vegetables for those in our neighborhood who cannot afford to buy healthy fruits and vegetables at the grocery store.  Community of Hope was one of three programs featured in the Town of Garner's successful application for the "All America City Award" at the National Civic League Conference in Denver, CO and is a past recipient of the Chamber's Summit Award for Non-Profit Achievement. In January 2017 Community of Hope received “The Dream in Action Award” from Garner’s Martin Luther King Annual Celebration Committee.  We are so humbled to serve our community.

Any help you can lend would be awesome!!
