On Thursday, Triangle Business Journal announced the winners of its Family Business Awards.
The awards recognize multigenerational, family-owned, as well as closely held businesses in the Triangle for overall excellence, innovation, ethics, philanthropy and contribution to the strength of the region. This is the event's second year.
These awards showcase the entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic vitality of the family businesses sector – one that employs thousands of people in this area.
The 16 winners will be honored at an awards dinner Dec. 7 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end around 9 p.m
“In many cases, a lifetime of sacrifice has gone into the companies that are represented on this list of winners,” says Jason Christie, publisher of Triangle Business Journal. “It’s exciting to see what these companies bring to the table, otherwise known as our local economy. I applaud them for what they’ve done and I look forward to seeing where they’re headed in the years to come.”
TBJ will profile the winners in a special section that will be published in its Dec. 8 subscriber edition.
