DESCRIPTION:The Garner community will hold its annual Memorial Day Observance on Monday\, May 29\, at 9:30 a.m. at the Garner Veterans Memorial at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffaloe Road).\n\nMayor Ken Marshburn will make opening remarks\, and Council Member Phil Matthews will offer a welcome. The keynote speaker will be Tim Stevens.\n\nThe Town of Garner Police and Fire Honor Guard will do the presentation of colors. Hannah Quinlivan will sing the National Anthem. Other participants in the program include Boy Scouts of America Troop 10\, VFW Post 10225 and American Legion Post 232.\n\nFree guided tours of the Garner Veterans Memorial will be available after the service until 11 a.m.
