CONNECT Conference 2013

Last month, Garner was honored by The National Civic League when it received the All-America City Award. What does it mean to be designated an All-America city?  How can it benefit Garner? The Garner Chamber of Commerce's fourth annual CONNECT & Plug in the Future Conference will bring a judge from the Denver panel, who will bring insight and share Garner's
winning edge in the AAC competition.

The featured speaker for this event will be Sharon Allred Decker, N.C. Secretary of Commerce, who will give a presentation on "The Case for Change." In addition,
Secretary of Transportation Tony Tata will explain how NCDOT's new Strategic Mobility Formula will create more jobs and fund more projects that will better connect people to jobs, healthcare, education and recreation centers, while increasing economic competitiveness.
