Application System Administrator

WingSwept is seeking an Application System Administrator within our application development division, to provide both internal and external technical support for our Case Management and Tracking System (CMTS) as well as other key applications within the company. 

The responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Monitoring, OS patching, new server setups/tagging, backup setups for CMTS hosting
  • AWS backup checks
  • Backup and restore testing
  • SSL certificate installs
  • CMTS installs and updates
  • Documentation for Customer configurations/management and internal processes/procedures
  • Security audits
  • DevOps in AWS
  • Migrations and test migrations
  • Process improvements and recommendations
  • Security vulnerability scans and remediation for CMTS and other AppDev servers/environments
  • Project management of short term and complex projects
  • Data entry tasks associated with internal and external projects on a limited basis
  • Technical architecture recommendations to senior programmers for consideration
  • Investigate new technologies for use internally and in client environments
  • Handle customer support for internal and external customers
  • Act as an engineering resource for any and all functions in the group as needed
  • Identify risk and escalate to the appropriate resource for mitigation
  • Keep information regarding our clients, their data, and other sensitive information confidential
  • Work collaboratively with the Information Security Committee in order to reduce risk to WingSwept and our clients

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be able to pass both Department of Defense and corporate criminal background checks and drug test. US citizenship is required
  • High school diploma, at least two years of secondary education preferred
  • Five+ years of IT or related experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for daily interactions with employees and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to others and lead by example
